An extended seminar-meeting was held at the National Expertise Center, bringing together the Enterprise’s management, representatives of the anti-corruption compliance service, heads of structural divisions of the central office, and regional branches of the NEC.
The keynote speaker of the event was Erlaz Zhaikbayev, a leading auditor in the implementation of the international standard ISO 37001:2016 “Anti-Bribery Management System.” In his report on the topic “Enterprise Code of Ethics,” he emphasized that the document serves as the foundation for building a corporate culture based on honesty, transparency, and compliance with legislation. According to the expert, unified standards of ethical behavior are a crucial element in preventing abuses and corruption risks and are also part of the obligations for meeting the requirements of ISO 37001. Among the key principles of the code, he highlighted honesty, objectivity, fairness, respect, and responsibility.
The head of the NEC anti-corruption compliance service, A. Myrzagulov, provided a number of relevant clarifications, detailing the anti-corruption measures implemented this year and informing employees about types of offenses for which criminal and administrative liability is established by law. He also urged staff to maintain a “zero-tolerance” approach to any corruption manifestations and to immediately report violations to the anti-corruption compliance service via the hotline.
